I'm a landscape and nature photographer living in Evansville, Indiana. As a native Hoosier, I've been a photographer since I was a child. Now that my husband and I are empty-nesters, I've been able to pursue my photographic passion. Many of my images are from Evansville, but there are some from the region surrounding Southern Indiana, such as Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois.
Along with photography, being outdoors has been my other childhood passion. Capturing the great outdoors in photography has been my way of preserving nature, so I can return to those pictures later and relive the scene I experienced. My photographic vision covers everything from taking pictures of grand, panoramic sunrises and sunsets, down to taking macro shots to explore the tiniest details of flowers and insects.
Two of my images recently won first place awards as determined by members of the Fine Arts Camera Club of Evansville. The images won based on votes of the membership at our monthly meetings. The Milky Way over the New Harmony Bridge won first place in December of 2015 and the Morning Glory sunrise with daisies in the foreground won most recently at the June 2016 meeting.
